Florida Panthers was founded by Blockbuster Video magnate H. Wayne Huizenga, the Panthers took the ice for their inaugural season in 1993–94. Unlike most expansion teams, they were immediately competitive under head coach Roger Neilson, narrowly missing the playoffs in their first two years.
- 2023–24: The Panthers returned to the Stanley Cup Final for a consecutive year and won the first Stanley Cup in franchise history, defeating the Edmonton Oilers in a thrilling 7-game series.
- 2024–25: Defying the odds of a championship hangover, Florida went back to the Final for a third consecutive year and defeated the Oilers once again to become back-to-back Stanley Cup Champions.
